Dan­ger­ous migrants – marine species that are intro­duced into envi­ron­ments in which they do not occur nat­u­rally can become deadly pests and rep­re­sent one of the great­est threats to the world’s oceans and bio­di­ver­sity. This fact sheet iden­ti­fies some of the species intro­duced into West­ern Aus­tralia, how they get here and their impact on our native marine environment.
